Christmas trees galore

KIDS today can’t remember a Christmas season without a Christmas tree in the house and in all sorts of public places: government offices, malls, hotels, parks. There was a time, though, before the Americans came with their culture and customs, that the Christmas tree was non-existent in Philippine homes. Instead, there was the Christmas parol hung outside house, and the Nativity scene in churches and in homes that they could afford.

After all, this is what Christmas is all about: the birth of Jesus Christ.

Today, most Christmas trees in the country are no longer made out of pine trees but out of artificial trees and other materials from the creative mind of the tree maker, festooned with blinking lights and garlands, with Christmas balls and tinsel and holly.

On this page are some of the Christmas trees found in hotel lobbies: get into the spirit of them and be of Christmas cheer!!

And somehow, feel also faith, hope and love!
