Bizman, family unscathed in gun attack

THE police are conducting thorough investigation to unmask the gunman behind the New Year’s Day gun attack at the residence of a businessman in a west coast village of Zamboanga City.

The businessman, Ike Basing, 44, and his family were unscathed, but the window glasses at their living room were damaged, Police Station 9 reported.

The police said the incident took place around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday in the village of Talisayan.

Investigation showed the family members were inside the house celebrating the New Year when an unidentified gunman arrived and opened fire.

No one among the Basing family was able to recognize the suspect, who fled to unknown direction, the police said.
