Doce Pares sends relief to Cebu

KAIASSE Doce Pares Reunion Island handed 3,000 euros worth of relief goods to the typhoon Yolanda victims in the northern towns of Cebu.

Master Jean Claude Calimoutou and his wife Jasmina and daughters Julie and Lea went to the typhoon-ravaged area to give out relief goods in Tabogon, San Remegio and Bogo.

The Calimoutou family of St. Suzanne in Reunion Island, France, also committed to rehabilitate the Señor San Roque Chapel in Barangay Camoboan, Tabogon.

“We are the brothers and sisters of the Cebuano people and that is why we can’t abandon them at this time. We will do whatever we can to help,” said Jean Claude.

“I am happy that they shared some more after seeing the devastation,” said Doce Pares Supreme Grandmaster Dionisio Cañete, ODL (Order of Datu Lapu-lapu).

SGM Cañete also thanked President Robert Didier of Region Reunion Island for extending help to the Cebuano people who are still reeling from the devastation of the super typhoon.

Meanwhile, Jean Claude, a second -grade blackbelt, is also undergoing training at the Doce Pares World Headquarters for an International Martial Arts Festival in France next month. (PR)
