A SUSPECTED drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (CAIDSOTG) at Purok Sigay in Barangay 2, Bacolod City, Wednesday.

The suspect was identified as Richard Gallanero, 39.

Senior Inspector Neil Exaltado, head of CAIDSOTG, said that Gallanero was collared after he handed to police poseur-buyer one small plastic sachet of suspected shabu in exchange of P200-marked money at 11:15 a.m.

Police recovered from Gallanero’s possession two small plastic sachets of shabu, one elongated plastic sachet of shabu, several empty plastic sachets, two disposable lighters, a pouch, and P200 cash.

Exaltado said they conducted an operation after they received information that the suspect is engaging in illegal drug activity in the barangay.

The suspect is now detained at the lock-up cell of Bacolod City Police Office headquarters.

Meanwhile, the fifth most wanted persons in Bacolod City were arrested Tuesday in a joint operation of the city police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) and Police Station 3 at Purok Riverside, Zone 3 Barangay Banago.

The suspects were identified as Jade Marquez, 27, of Purok Riverside, Barangay Banago, and his neighbor John Desuyo, 19.

Senior Inspector Charles Gever, head of WSS, said Wednesday both have arrest warrants for murder without bail issued by Judge Eduardo Sayson of the Regional Trial Court Branch 54 in Bacolod City.
