FORMER world champions Sonny Boy Jaro and Florante Condes returned to their winning ways after easy knockout wins against patsies last Saturday night in Mandaluyong City.
After three straight losses, Jaro, the former WBC flyweight champion, stopped Marzon Cabilla in the opening round.
Jaro ended his losing of almost two years and improved to 35-13-5 with 25 knockouts, while Marzon’s woes continued and dropped to 9-11-1 with four knockouts.
Former International Boxing Federation (IBF) mini-flyweight champion Florante Condes ended a long hiatus with a first round technical knockout victory over Charlie Cabilla.
Condes stopped Cabilla in the 2:13 mark and ended his three-fight losing slump that dates from 2011.
Condes improved his record to 26-8-1 with 22 knockouts, while Charlie slid down to 13-13-4 with two knockouts.
