2 SPC grads in top 10 of nursing licensure

THE San Pedro College (SPC) of Davao City has once again made it to the list of top performing nursing schools across the country, placing ninth in the December 2013 Nurse Licensure Examination and having three of its graduates among the top 10.

Based on the result of the December 2013 Nurse Licensure Examination released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on January 15, a total of 304 or 86.86 percent out of 350 examinees passed.

Of the 350 total number of examinees, 295 or 90.77 percent out of 325 first timers passed, while nine or 36 percent out of 25 repeaters passed.

The three students who made it to the top ten are: Kristyl Anne Capulong Lazo (85 percent) at seventh place; Riza Grace Resma Subiras (84.60 percent) at ninth place; and Audrey Anne Grace Raza Lim (84.40 percent) at 10th place.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said 10,977 out of 35,475 passed the Nurse Licensure Examination administered by the Board of Nursing in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Nueva Ecija, Pagadian, Pampanga, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last December 2013.

Meanwhile, Karla Bernadine Raras Bulaclac of the Ateneo de Davao University also made it to the top ten, placing eighth with 84.80 percent.

The top three schools with the most number of passers are the University of Saint Louis in Tuguegarao with 98.53 percent; Xavier University, 97.84 percent and the Mariano Marcos State University in Batac, Ilocos Norte, 97.33 percent.

Kristine Joie Azarcon Danan, of New Era University, and Nikko Martel Viray Dio, of Pamantasan Ng Lungsod Ng Maynila topped the exam with a similar rate of 86.20.
