MTRCB inks new CNA with employees

THE Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) management signed last September 17 a new Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) with its employees’ association. The ceremony was held at the Liezl Martinez Hall of the MTRCB Building in Quezon City.

According to MTRCB Chairperson Atty. Eugenio “Toto” H. Villareal, the agreement clearly manifests the family-oriented relationship between the agency’s management and its employees.

“Ang pirmahang ito ay tanda ng pagiging isang pamilya namin dito sa MTRCB. Laging kumikilos ang MTRCB para sa pamilyang Pilipino, at nararapat lang na ang family atmosphere ay pa-iralin dito,” said Villareal. “We are all workers. There is no management or labor. We are all brothers and sisters,” he added.

Villareal led the management in signing of the CNA, together with MTRCB Board Members Jay C. Revestir and Cecilia L. Nubla. The MTRCB Employees Association, Inc. (MTRCBEA) was represented by its President, Armando B. Villas. Also present during the signing were the National President of the Confederation for Unity Recognition and Advancement of Government Employees (COURAGE), Ferdinand R. Gaite, the MTRCB Labor Management Council, and MTRCBEA representatives.

The agreement contains provisions on association security, employee benefits, special privileges, protection and safety, and employer-employee relationship, among others. (PR)
