CHARGES were filed on Monday before the City Prosecutor’s Office (CPO) of Davao against an 18-year-old man on accusation of stealing.
Leo Peralta of Daliao, Toril was charged with robbery, after he was arrested around 12:30 p.m. of February 9, for breaking into a house on Vales St. in Daliao. He was brought before the CPO for inquest proceeding.
Records from Toril police showed the caretaker of the house identified as Felix Tejol, 76, discovered the incident when he arrived at the house of his employer, identified only as Rudy.
According to Tejol, he saw the suspect destroying the window grills of the house, prompting him to seek his neighbors' help. When he returned with three neighbors, the man was already gone.
Personnel of Toril police arrested the suspect after tracking him down in the neighborhood. The caretaker positively identified the suspect who took P1,000 cash. He is now detained at the police station. (Ivy C. Tejano/Sun.Star Davao)
