City reminds vs littering, smoking during Dinagyang

THE Iloilo City Government is reminding violators of the anti-littering and anti-smoking ordinances and temporary suspension will be effective during the two-day highlights over the weekend.

Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said the city deserves to be a litter-free festival and visitors are reminded not to throw their garbage everywhere. Citation ticket will be issued only as a reminder for violators.

However, citation tickets will be issued against violators of the anti-smoking ordinance in closed areas. Reminders will be issued by agents of the Iloilo City Anti-Smoking Task Force (ICAST) as reminders to smokers in public places.
