THE City Government of Iloilo is hosting a business summit in Makati City, Metro Manila by March 2014 to bring business potentials and opportunities in the city.
City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said he has invited several big investors and businessmen in Metro Manila and nearby cities to participate in the Iloilo City Business Summit and see the development strides and economic growth of the city.
Mabilog had invited officials of Korean firm Dream Eng. Company Ltd. to participate in the summit that focused on the city’s economic growth, business and investment potentials, and tourist attractions.
Dream Eng. Company Ltd. was also invited to participate in the development of some 500 hectares reclamation project into an industrial park located between the boundaries of Balibago, Jaro, Iloilo City, and the municipality of Leganes, Iloilo.
Mabilog said the area is owned by the City Government and is ripe for development as an industrial site or export processing zone for business locators in the manufacture of semi conductors or assembly plant for other businesses.
The Korean firm assured a feasibility study for the industrial park as free to the city government.
