James Yap celebrates birthday with Bimby

BASKETBALL star James Yap got his wish for his 32nd birthday.

The San Mig Coffee Mixers main man celebrated his special day on Saturday in the company of son James Jr., famously known as Bimby, and ex-wife Kris Aquino's first born, Joshua.

The television host was the first to post a photo of James, Bimby and Joshua in her Instagram account.

Kris, who celebrated her birthday on Valentine's Day, wished her ex-husband "peace, harmony and God's blessings."

She added that as a mother, she has learned to set aside past hurts and is moving on from what she and James went through in the past few years.

"I've learned how to move on with God's grace because I want my sons to be well adjusted & positive. And that starts with my example," Kris said.

James later on shared his happiness to his more than 100,000 followers on Instagram.

"Kumpleto na birthday ko. Thank you Lord," he said.

James had not seen Bimby and Joshua for almost five months. Before his birthday, he already articulated his desire to spend time with them.

The reunion came after Kris defended James against criticisms that he "sold" his game during the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals against sister team Ginebra San Miguel.

James thanked Kris, hoping that it will signal a good start between him and his ex-wife.

"Ito na yung pinagpa-pray ko na maging okay na lahat kasi mahirap yung magka-away. May anak kami. Sana magkabati, kung hindi man ngayon, baka in the future," he said.(Sunnex)
