Mayor: P4-B Korean loan idea of Arroyo

MACABEBE -- Mayor Annette Flores-Balgan has clarified that the P4-billion project funded by Korean loan was a brain-child and hard work of former president and now Pampanga Second District Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and not of Fourth District Representative Juan Pablo Bondoc.

Balgan told Sun.Star Monday that Bondoc is just implementing the project today.

"That idea came from Rep. GMA.

Bondoc said the fourth district was the only place in the whole country to be given a P4 billion Korean loan from the National Government.

Bondoc said the P2 billion will be allocated for flood-control since his district is mostly affected by typhoons and calamities.

The other P2 billion will be allotted for education, rehabilitation of public school campuses in the district's four towns.
