UCPB loan fair offers consumers special packages

THE United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB) launched its first Loan Fair in Davao City on Friday at the Abreeza Mall. The event runs until today.

The UCPB Loan Fair is offering consumers special loan packages in auto loan, home loan, salary loan, and small business loan.

Higinio O. Macadaeg Jr., UCPB executive vice president, said through the fair, they expect to increase their consumer loan portfolio and to make their pressence known to the Dabawenyos.

"Before our loan portfolio used to be 90 percent corporate loans and 10% consumer loans. When we assessed the performance of the bank we found out we should change the mix and now we are targeting fro a 50/50 ration in the next two or three years," he said, adding that precently theri loan portfolio is 65% corporate loans and 35% consumer loans.

Macadaeg said the loan fair will also serve as an announcement that UCPB is now active in giving out consumer loans.

"We are now having it in Davao because we see it as a major market and as the next source of our consumer loans," he said.

The event special loan offers in auto loans, home loans, salary loans, and small business loans.

For example, for the UCPB Auto Loans, down payment is as low as P49,999 and the client can choose from three special packages: lower interest rates, free insurance, and free insurance and Chattel Fee for a minimum loanable amount of P600,000.

Consumers will also get a chance to receive raffle prizes and UCPB novelty items.

Participating auto loan dealers include Karasia Inc. (Mitsubishi), Toyota, Southern Motors (Isuzu), Chevrolet, KIA, Motormall (Suzuki), Motor Image Pilipinas (Subaru), Hyundai, and Honda. Real Estate developers includes Alveo Land, Filinvest, and DMC Urban Property Developer Inc.

UCPB also launched the UCPB The Outstanding Performance (TOP) Circle in Davao to real estate brokers and agents. The club provides incentive programs to member brokers or agents who refers their buyers to UCPB for housing loans.

Last February 8, 2014, UCPB also had its loan fair at Ayala Center Cebu.

Nationwide, UCPB has a total of 183 branches. In Davao City they have branches in Bajada, Magsaysay, Palma Gil, and San Pedro. They also have a UCPB Consumer Finance Business Center at the UCPB Building, R. Magsaysay corner Sales Streets.
