SSA, BCCN, House of Praise take home table tennis crowns

ST. Scholastica’s Academy (SSA), Bacolod Christian College of Negros (BCCN), and House of Praise Learning Center captured the titles in the elementary and secondary divisions of the just-concluded Negros Occcidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural, and Educational Association (Nopsscea) table tennis tournament.

Playing at Loppta Center in Lopue’s San Sebastian in Bacolod City, SSA dominated the elementary girls while House of Praise settled for first runner-up followed by Bacolod Tay Tung High School, second runner-up.

SSA secondary girls’ paddlers also ruled their division while Tay Tung finished first runner-up, and St. Joseph School-La Salle settled for second runner-up.

House of Praise bagged the elementary boys’ division title followed by SSA and Trinity Christian School.

BCCN ruled the secondary boys division as Tay Tung finished first runner-up followed by St. Joseph School-La Salle.

In the singles’ event, the top finishers in elementary boys are Psalm Sagadal, champion; Kenji Vidal, first runner-up; and Joaquin Placido Domingo Mapa, second runner-up. In elementary girls, Stephanie Reign Villanueva was the champion; Maea Argeline Canto, first runner-up; and Kinnah Marie Dejame, second runner-up.

In the secondary level boys, John Michael Castro was declared champion; Niel John Lauren, first runner-up; and Jeff Edrian Granada, second runner-up; and in girls, Gems Gellang, champion; Kristine Marie Bringas, first runner-up; and Cherrica Michelle Uytiepo, second runner-up.

The tertiary level games will be played this weekend.
