Organic fair ongoing at Abreeza

ABREEZA of the Ayala Malls launched its first Organic Fair last March 22, 2014 at the mall's activity center.

The "See Green, See Life Abreeza Organic Fair 2014" will run until March 28 and will feature 36 exhibitors of local organic products.

Ruby B. Ochoa, Abreeza Mall marketing manager, said the event is one of the mall's activities in line with the health and beauty week of the Big Davao Fun Sale.

"This event aims to promote a green and sustainable living," she said.

Chin Fuerte, of Konkordans Inc., said the event also promotes organic lifestyle. The event is managed by Konkordans.

Exhibitors include: Amavel Foundation, Beng's Herb Garden, BIOS Dynamis, Cacao de Davao, Catchie's Garden, Chiyos Culinary & Herb Garden, City Agri Organic Growers Council, Davao Oriental Food Processors Association, Donabelle, Earth Basics, Everlasting Golden Flower, Green Agenda, Green Solutions, Guava Republic, Herbosido, Hijo Resources, Holiday Spa, Human Nature, Jesmi Enterprises, Jo Mapanaw, Joco Enterprises, Kablon Farms, Malagos Chocolate, Malonzo Enterprises, MPQ Foliar Organic Fertilizer, Padre Ninno's Gourmet, Palmera Industries, PCEEM-Davao Foundation, Philippine Coconut Authority, Roots Natural Foods & Drinks, Soul Lifestyle, South Tropics, Spread Organic Agriculture, Timbergold Organics, Urban Container Gardeners, and Vegan Foodhaus.

On the launch of the fair, the mall also brought in Rachel Alejandro and Barni Alejandro-Rennebeck, authors of the Sexy Chef Cookbook.

For the Sexy Chef, “A Healthy Cooking Demo” was staged where the demonstrated how to cook jap chae korean stir fry noodles, malunggay fried rice, salad, and a tofu "egg" salad.

They also did a book signing after the demo show.

The week-long event will culminate with the Colonversation, a colon cancer awareness talk at 1 p.m. of March 28.

They also held the Big Fun Zumba Party at the park dining area on the same day. It was held in partnership with Metro Lifestyle Center & Spa, Holiday Gym & Spa, Planet Infinity, and Benefit Gym.

Last Sunday, they also brought in beauty expert Dr. Vicki Belo for one session dubbed as "Enhancing Beauty."
