IT seems like romance did not pan out too well for Queen of All Media Kris Aquino and Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista.
The television host surprised late night viewers of "Aquino & Abunda Tonight" on Monday when she came on set with her new pixie cut hairstyle.
When co-host and best friend, Boy Abunda, asked if she's going through something, as it becomes a habit for most women to cut their hair after a split or to welcome new change, Aquino said: "Pag may pinag-dadaanan ka, it's appropriate... tapos na." She added: "So, pag ganun, time for change. Ayoko na ng heartache, 'yun lang."
Aquino then said she's not yet ready to discuss it further.
The relationship between Aquino and Bautista allegedly turned sour after the television host confirmed that she is dating the actor-turned-politician.
In a Balita article dated April 11, showbiz reporter Reggee Bonoan disclosed that Bautista is already having second thoughts of pursuing Aquino due to public's hostile response in their blossoming romance.
Bonoan also wrote that his two kids with long-time partner Tates Gana were "shocked" of the TV host's announcement and the falling out on their parents' relationship.
On Tuesday, veteran columnist Ricky Lo came up with the story "Kris and Herbert: A work that didn't progress" on his FunFare column in the Philippine Star.
Lo, who recently crossed path with Aquino at the Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Earth Hour press junket in Singapore, said that "situation is simply much too complicated" for the pair.
The "Startalk" host wrote: "Kris and Herbert couldn't simply move freely around, so you can imagine how paranoid they could be. They contented themselves with having quiet dinners at Aquino's place, never in a fancy restaurant."
Lo, just like Bonoan, claimed that it was Herbert who gave up on the new romance.
As for the Queen of All Media, she said on her Instagram account, "I'm super ready for my life change!" (Sunnex)
