A TOTAL of 14 candidates will vie for the regional finals of the Miss Teen Philippines 2014 which will be held at SM City activity center on Sunday, May 4.
The regional finalists are Shalain Adle, Kendra Alo, Pia Belon, Dana Ledonio, Julie Mae Ticar, Valen Jambaro, Kesiah Quino, Mayramarie Flor, Jeri Ann Henares, Stephanie Ricamonte, Heather Parangan, Antonette Cuenca, Kwensi Academia, and Hannah Lladoc.
Nine candidates are from Iloilo and five are from Negros Occidental.
The selected Miss Teen Philippines 2014 will become the ambassadress for the Department of Education (DepEd) to inspire the youth to value education while promoting youth-directed priority programs.
City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog will lead the search and will award the five winners who will represent Western Visayas in the grand finals slated on May 31 in Metro Manila.
The grand winner will also be a member of the Philippine delegation to the Southeast Asian Youth Program and to the National Youth Parliament.
