Felonia's transfer to Quezon City court not executed

THE order to immediately transfer murder suspect Leonardo Felonia to Quezon City Regional Trial Court for his arraignment and presentation of evidence was not executed by the police yet for unconfirmed venue, Davao City Police Office director Vicente Danao Jr. said Wednesday.

Danao said the order they received which was recently issued by the Regional Trial Court-Branch 16 presiding Judge Emmanuel Carpio did not state the court in which Felonia, who was tagged in the murder of Cebu-based businessman Richard King, shall be brought stating further that they could not risk bringing Felonia to Quezon City without knowing where to exactly deliver him.

"It's like dribbling a ball na hindi mo alam kung saang court iso-shoot (It's like dribbling a ball where you do not know which court to shoot)," Danao said pertaining to the order.

Danao added they needed to know the specific court first before they will deliver the accused to Quezon City to avoid any risk.

"Baka makawala pa ang accused doon kung hindi tiyak kung saang court siya ilalagay," Danao said adding that they wanted to prevent such thing from happening.

Sun.Star Davao earlier reported that Judge Carpio ordered a not guilty plea in behalf of Paul Dave Molina Labang and siblings Rommel and Rodel dela Cerna, the other accused in the murder of King.

The Supreme Court also sent a notice to RTC-Branch 16, containing an order that after the three accused are arraigned in Davao City, the case records will be forwarded to Quezon City-RTC for Felonia's arraignment and presentation of evidence.
