THE police have arrested a farmer who allegedly killed his wife over a quarrel that stemmed from jealousy in the province of Zamboanga del Sur.
Arrested and detained was Solitario Gandoy, 42, of Sebucao village, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur, the police said.
The police identified Gandoy’s slain wife as, Myrna, 42 years old.
Investigation showed that Gandoy allegedly shot and killed his wife during a scuffle around 11 p.m. on Thursday at their residence.
The victim was hit in the chest resulting to her untimely death, the police said.
Responding policemen recovered from the suspect’s possession a .38 caliber revolver with five live ammunitions, the police said. (Bong Garcia)
