Utzurrum: From Paris: ‘Hello, Cebu’

THE famous French fashion brand is here!

Stylish ladies, and even finicky gentlemen, have always looked up to Paris as the fashion and style capital of the world, and with good reason. We have all been exposed to the all-too-familiar haute couture labels like Christian Dior, Yves St. Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, etc.

And now comes Petit Bateau, meaning “small boat” in French. This premier children’s clothing line recently opened its flagship boutique at the third Level of Ayala Center Cebu’s expansion area.

There were cute, cuddly kids milling around, with their equally young and trendy moms, garbed in Petit Bateau’s iconic milleraies blue and white stripes. You guessed it! A mini-fashion show was going on!

Gliding on the runway were chic local moms in typical Petit Bateau, while their kids strutted alongside in cool and breezy kiddie outfits. Some of the models were: Kate Anzani and her three daughters Ambra, Zuri and Alessia; Christine Uy and offspring Callaie and Cassie.

Designer Therese Ko with her little princess, Inara; professional photographer Maitina Borromeo, with cute pair Mattea and Rocio; and consultant Laurice Chiongbian with son Rafa.

Earlier, the tots were entertained with activities like origami making, and various arts and crafts, as their parents explored the store premises, and ended the event with French cocktails.

By the way, here’s something interesting, unique and even healthy, about Petit Bateau clothing—they are allergy-free which is significant for babies, children and even adults. Furthermore, the Oeko-tex label has guaranteed that the clothing is non-carcinogenic and non-toxic, ensuring risk-free wearing for up to 36 months, even for the most sensitive skin. This is according to Hans Clifford Yao, president of Adrenaline Group of Companies, the official distributor of Petit Bateau in the Philippines.

Petit Bateau offers classic wear for every stage of life, for all ages because everyone wants to feel safe and stylish in their clothes.

With their factory in Troyes, France, the brand has withstood the test of time, over 120 years of passing fashion trends and has long established its clothing brand from infant to adult apparel, not only in Europe, but in Asian countries like Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore as well.
