Search for ‘Tambok’ continues as police prepares complaints

THE City Intelligence Branch (CIB) of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) identified the last suspect responsible in stealing six vehicles and shooting two victims.

The third suspect was only known as “Tambok” until yesterday when Supt. Romeo Santander, CIB chief, identified him as Dante Baylosis.

Manuel Corominas and a 14-year-old John (real name withheld for being a minor) were arrested in a police operation last week.

They tagged a certain “Tambok,” who is still at large, as their companion when they shot two people and stole six vehicles in less than 24 hours last May 25.

Santander believes Baylosis is still in Cebu City but police are still verifying his whereabouts.

The vehicles were abandoned in different parts of Cebu, from Talisay City to a mountain barangay in Cebu City.

It was Baylosis who reportedly shot Eleanor Rivera and Julius Capuno.

Police are preparing complaints of robbery with physical injuries and three counts of carnapping against the three.

Aside from shooting Rivera on the stomach, at least P50,000 cash was allegedly stolen from her.

Capuno was driving his motorcycle when the suspects shot him and forcibly took the motorcycle as a getaway vehicle.

For days the police could not identify the suspects until a facial composite was made through witnesses' description.

Corominas was also tagged in three other shooting incidents and a carnapping incident in Minglanilla earlier this year.
