AUTHORITIES seized a total P1.8-million worth of illegal drugs from a suspected dealer who was arrested on Friday in a drug bust in Matina, Davao City.
The suspect was identified as Rian Pajaron Enriquez, alias Yan-Yan, 35, a sound technician, of GSIS subdivision.
Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Davao Region, in coordination with Aviation Security Group (ASG) and Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU), arrested Enriquez on Mc Arthur Highway at 10:45 a.m.
Recovered from the suspect's possession were one sachet of some 200 grams of suspected shabu worth P1.8 million and drug paraphernalia.
Authorities also confiscated the Yamaha Mio motorcycle of the suspect, believed to be used in illegal drugs activities. The suspect has been reportedly operating in Davao City for quiet sometime.
"Finally, we were able to arrest the suspect after validating the information from the concerned citizen through text hotline," PDEA-Davao director Adzhar Albani said.
The suspect is now temporarily detained at the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) jail facility, while the suspected drugs were submitted to the PDEA for examination.
Enriquez is facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
