TOP bowlers in the country converged at the Lopue’s East Bowling Center to compete for the National Tenpin Tournament from June 6-8, 2014.
The tournament will serve as a pre-qualifying tournament for the National Bowling Tournament Yearend Championships, Lopue’s bowling instructor Herman Santos disclosed.
Participating teams include Marikina, Manila, Las Pinas, Paranaque, Cavite, Davao, Cebu, Baguio, Iloilo and host-Bacolod.
This tournament will also serve as an avenue to discover new bowlers who will follow the footsteps of world-acclaimed Filipino bowler champion Paeng Nepomuceno.
National Bowling Tour chairman Jaime Dechaoco, who was welcomed by Billy Lopue, will be the special guest.
Lopue’s East Bowling Center has staged a summer clinic to develop young bowlers to rule the alleys in the future.
The clinic featured three (3) courses : Course 1- comprehensive introduction to tenpin bowling (Basic Drill for Tenpin Bowling); Course 2 – basic bowling drill practice application, shadow bowling, fun game introduction, no tap 8, no tap 9, and regular game.
Course 3 included singles event, mini-fun game, recognition of participants and awarding of certificates.
