Dina Bonnevie speaks up on Vic-Pauleen romance

ACTRESS Dina Bonnevie fears that the 35-year age gap between ex-husband Vic Sotto and girlfriend Pauleen Luna will eventually take its toll on their relationship.

"In the beginning, okay, then later on, she's getting bored. Gusto pa niyang mag party, gusto pa niyang sumayaw, gusto niyang mag travel, whereas the husband just wants to stay home," Bonnevie said in a Cinema News interview, noting that she has a sister who also had a May-December love affair.

She added: "It wouldn't mean that in the future she's not sincere or it would mean na nagloloko siya, but that's a natural reaction of a person because you can eventually outgrow your mate."

Aside from the big age gap, the Kapamilya actress said Luna should also get the blessing of Sotto's four children.

"Whoever he will be marrying has to deal with Danica and Oyo and has to deal with Paulina na anak niya kay Angela (Luz) and with Vicco na anak niya kay Coney (Reyes)," Bonnevie said.

When asked if Sotto will marry again, the veteran actress pointed out the comedian's "track record" in romantic relationships.

"Hindi naman necessarily wishing na mag-asawa siya kasi there are some people who are not marrying type talaga. There are some people who wants companion but they're afraid to commitment. I'm not saying he is like that but tinitingnan ko din yung track record, palaging ganun lang," she said.

Bonnevie, however, clarified that she admires Pauleen because she's behind Sotto for more than two years now and their romance seems to be stronger than ever.

"A lot of people probably judge Pauleen kasi bata yan and how can she be falling in love with a 60-year-old. Parang it's next to impossible," she said.

"It's not right for people to judge her that she's not sincere, kasi some people would say that she's after the money, pero can you imagine what the girl has to put out with, lahat yun. The mere fact na andoon pa siya, A for effort yun. Hindi madali yun," she added.

In the end, the actress said she maintains a good relationship with Sotto, father of her children Danica and Oyo.

"We're very good friends. Maybe not as close as we were before. Kahit na hiwalay na kami we talk to each other. Vic knows na whatever it’s worth, kung meron namang mangyari and he needs my help, I'll always be here," she said. (Sunnex)
