MSMED Week set in July

THE Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Week 2014 is set to kick-off second week of July.

The MSMED Council of the city government of Davao will be spearheading the event. in coordination with the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Inc., (DCCCII) and the regional office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI 11).

DCCCII acting executive director Mary AntonetteDoromal, in an interview with Sun.Star Davao on Friday at the opening of the Davao Agriculture and Livestock Expo at the SMX Convention Center, said they are now on the process of finalizing the details of the annual event.

She said they are set to meet anew with city administrator for operations lawyer JhopeeAvanceña-Agustin tomorrow to finalize various activities to be conducted duing the event.

Doromal said they are working out on inviting Senator Bam Aquino to attend the event.

She said beginning on the second week of July, they have lined up seminars and workshops for local MSMEs. These will be held at the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the DCCCII office building.

Some of the lecturers will be coming from DTI and Industry and the Department of Science and Technology.

On July 28 to 31. MSMED Expo is slated at the Abreeza of the Ayala Malls.

Doromal said they are expecting 46 local MSMEs to exhibit their products and services during the expo.
