THE Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Davao City arrested a man in a buy-bust operation at sitio Upper Piedad in Barangay Bato in Toril, Davao City on Saturday afternoon.
CIDG-Davao City Special Operations team leader Senior Inspector Francis Sonza identified the suspect as Dave Barrios Pavico, 30, of Toril.
Operatives arrested the suspect at around 5:05 p.m. after he handed a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a police agent who acted as poseur buyer.
Recovered from the possession of the suspect were four heat sealed sachet of suspect shabu, one caliber.45 pistol loaded with four live ammunition, three disposable lighters, one Samsung cellular phone, and one P500 marked money.
Sonza said the suspect and the seized evidence were referred to Davao Regional Crime Laboratory Office for Drug and Laboratory examinations. The suspect is now detained at the CIDG 11 jail facility.
The suspect will be charged with violation of Section 5 (Sale) and Section 11 (Possession) of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and violation of the Comprehensive Laws on Firearms and Ammunition of the Republic Act 10591. (ICT)
