BACOLOD City Councilor El Cid Familiaran has filed a resolution seeking the extension of the term of Senior Supt. Larry Decena as officer-in-charge of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO).

This was confirmed on Mon day by Decena, who is scheduled to retire after his 57th birthday on June 14.

The BCPO chief said he believes the city officials are satisfied with his performance.

Decena had earlier said he is sad to leave Bacolod but he already has to retire from the Philippine National Police service.

However, Decena said Mayor Monico Puentevella can file a request before the Office of the President to let him stay, but no longer than one year.

Chief Supt. Josephus Angan, director of Police Regional Office, said that if Decena will retire, his position will be occupied by the deputy city director for administration of BCPO while waiting for a permanent replacement.
