Ayala opens 3-day lifestyle fair

THE Ayala Business Club Davao (ABCD), an organization of 11 member companies that fall under the Ayala Group of Companies, yesterday opened the weekend-long exhibit that showcases the wide range of lifestyle offerings under the Ayala umbrella.

The group -- which counts among its members Abreeza Mall, Ayala Land, Avida Land, Alveo Land, Bank of the Philippine Islands, BPI Family Savings Bank, BPI MS Insurance, BPI-Philam Life Assurance, Corp., Globe Telecom, Makati Development Corporation, and Seda Abreeza Hotel -- is holding the ABCD Lifestyle Fair from June 13 to 15 at the Ground Floor Hallway of Abreeza Mall.

Carrying the theme "One Lifestyle, One Community, One Ayala," the exhibit highlights the impressive array of products and services that the Ayala companies offer Davao consumers, from retail, leisure and telecommunications to real property, insurance and financial services.

"In the Ayala Business Club Davao, our thrust is to align the activities of all the member companies to achieve synergy and therefore assist each other in achieving respective goals," ABCS President Luigi Escano says.

"Secondly, a major objective of the group is a share corporate social responsibility."

Since its inception, the ABCD has been involved in several corporate social responsibility nitiatives, among them fundraising activities for Children's Hour, a non-profit organization founded by Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala that funds projects relating to children's education, health and nutrition and protection.

Other recent projects of the ABCD promote environmental preservation, such as the Eart Day Recyclable Fair, an event inviting people to property dispose of their electronic waste and other recyclables, and the Davao Gulf SOS, a massive cleanup activity that took place at the Davao coastline.
