Wanted man falls in DavSur

OPERATIVES of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Davao Del Sur arrested a man who has a pending arrest warrant before the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Davao City after he was tagged in the killing of former bookkeeper of Barangay 76-A Bucana in August 2013.

Arrested in the Oplan Pagtutugis (Campaign against wanted persons) of CIDG-Davao del Sur is Ramil Galabin, alias Rammil Galadin, alias Jao, 34, and a resident of SIR Phase 1 in Matina.

He was arrested by operatives of CIDG-Davao del Sur led by Police Chief Inspector Arvin Avelino along with Police Officer 3 (PO3) Datu Sajed Clao and PO3 Bernard Menoza.

Galadin, who is listed ninth in CIDG-Davao del Sur's most wanted list, was nabbed by virtue of the warrant of arrest issued by RTC Branch 10 Retrina Fuentes involving the murder case of Jessie de Dios Nuñez, former bookkeeper of Barangay 76-A Bucana.

Police report revealed that the incident happened on August 23, 2013 at corner San Pedro and Legaspi Streets. Nuñez was reportedly with his girlfriend when Galabin and another unidentified suspect onboard a motorcycle drove by the victim and shot him multiple times.

The victim was killed on the spot after succumbing to gunshot wounds in his head, chest and back.

Investigators earlier revealed that the motive of the killing may have been the victim's knowledge on the transactions of Barangay 76-A.

The suspect is set to be endorsed to the CIDG regional office in Davao City on Monday and will be presented before the sala of RTC Branch 10 for his arraignment.
