Pastor confirms taxi robbery victim is a ministry member

AMID the ongoing case of the taxi driver accused of spraying a chemical through his air-conditioning vent and robbing his passenger, a pastor from the Victory Christian Fellowship- Davao confirmed that the victim is a part of their ministry.

Pastor Alvin Supan of the Victory Christian Fellowship (VCF), in a statement sent to Sun.Star Davao Saturday, said Jesus Famacion Dizon II, who claimed to be a pastor, belongs to the category of volunteer pastors of the Victory Christian Fellowship in Cagayan de Oro City, not in Davao City.

"He is not an ordained, full time pastor," Supan said, adding that he only came out to answer questions that arose whether Dizon is a pastor.

Dizon earlier filed complaints in the Talomo Police Station against taxi driver Santos Descallar Diez, 53, a resident of Barangay Tigatto in Buhangin in Davao City, for allegedly stealing his valuables after he fell unconscious.

The accused was arrested Sunday after he showed up at Talomo Police Station around 10 a.m. to clear his name. The complainant, however, positively identified him as the driver of the taxi he boarded last Saturday evening.

Dizon, however, denied that he accused the driver of spraying a chemical through his air-conditioning vent.

Diez was charged with robbery under the Revised Penal Code based on the complaint filed by Dizon, of Malindang Street in Central Park in Bangkal.

The Talomo police, however, released on Friday the accused, after the latter posted P100,000 bail.
