FOUR people, including a woman, were arrested in a pot session while a suspected drug pusher escaped in a separate drug buy-bust operation in Zamboanga City.
Arrested were Enrique Gatal, Lloyd Volunmatate, Arnold Maatubang and Ginalyn Delos Santos, all residents of Toribio Drive, Pasonanca, this city.
The suspected drug pusher who managed to escape was identified as Benito Delgado alias Toto of Fernandez Drive, Pasonanca.
Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) Spokesman Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca said the suspects were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation around 9 p.m. Friday at Fernandez Drive, Pasonanca village.
Huesca said Delgado immediately ran and escaped by jumping over the fence at the back of his residence upon sensing the arriving of the lawmen after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover policeman.
Huesca said the suspects, who were arrested, were caught having pot session inside the residence of Delgado.
The arresting team has confiscated and recovered at the residence of Delgado a .38 caliber revolver with six live ammunitions, a sachet of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), P300 “marked money,” and prohibited drug paraphernalia, Huesca said.
The suspects were subjected to inquest proceeding and detained at the local police headquarters, Huesca said. (Bong Garcia)
