Sharks sink Vipers, 69-45

RYAN Edward Llanos scored 19 points, Archie Brian Batua added 13 and Ryan Penaranda had 10 to lead Accenture Sharks to an upset victory over the defending champions Aegis Vipers, 69-45 in the ongoing CSCC E-Leagues Season 10 at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym last Saturday.

The Sharks surprised Aegis with a 23-3 blitz in the opening quarter to break the spirits of the defending champion, who were trailing by as much as 32 points at the halftime break, 46-14.

Kevin Clark Navaja was the lone Aegis player to score in double digit with 11.

Meanwhile, the SSI Warriors pulled the rug from under the Wipro Tigers, 79-70 win.

After forfeiting its first game in favor of Kyocera Frontiers, SSI picked its first win of the season with Robert Espinoza scoring the game- high 27 points. Lawrence Agas and Rhett Tomakin also had 17 and 14 points respectively.

Franz Martinez topscored for Wipro with 12 points and Reinario Salibay Jr. and Brian Deodoro made 11 points each.

SupportSave Dragons, on the other hand, defeated Calltek Trojans, 59-53.

Nino Belande scored 25 points and Dave Villas added 14 to lead the Dragons to victory.

Brothers Jan Pierre and Mark Louise Gellez topscored for the debuting Trojans with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
