Duterte names Sun.Star columnist to DCWD board

DAVAO City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte appointed Sun.Star Davao columnist Serafin C. Ledesma Jr. as a member of the board of directors (BOD) of Davao City Water District (DCWD), replacing the late lawyer Charlemagne Aldevera.

Duterte announced Ledesma’s appointment during a press conference held at the Mandaya Hotel on Friday evening.

He said the appointment, which was signed on the same night, is effective until December 2016.

Ledesma will be representing the educational institution sector.

Aldevera, 64, died from a heart attack last month.

Duterte said Ledesma complete the current five-member DCWD Board of Directors that include lawyer Eliseo R. Braganza Jr. for civic sector, Ma. Luisa L. Jacinto for the women sector, lawyer Abdul M. Dataya for the professional sector, and Eduardo A. Bangyan for business sector.
