A MOTORCYCLE driver was killed while two others were injured in a road accident along Buenavista Road, Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City Saturday.
Police identified the fatality as John Louie Novea, 24, of Hacienda Marilou, Barangay 14, Victorias City.
Injured were Redley Laquina, 19, of Sitio Estaca, Barangay Lantad, and Michael Silvestre, 21, of Villa Carmen Subdivision, Barangay 5, both in Silay City.
Investigation conducted by Police Officer 3 Pacifico Alba, traffic investigation of Silay City Police Station, showed at about 9:20 p.m.
Saturday, Novea was driving his Suzuki motorcycle with plate number 8947-IH. He was traveling west along Buenavista Road, Silay City.
Upon reaching “Himala” Store, he tried to evade a vehicle which was travelling on the opposite lane and hit the victims, Alba said.
The two other victims were walking beside the road when the motorcycle bumped into them.
The three were rushed to the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital where Novea was declared dead.
The Suzuki motorcycle is now in the custody of Silay City Police Station and further investigation is ongoing. (MAP)
