Sandigan issues hold departure order vs Estrada

MANILA - The anti-graft court on Monday issued a hold departure order against Senator Jinggoy Estrada and other co-respondents in the plunder and graft cases in connection with the alleged misuse of Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).

In the resolution signed by Sandiganbayan Fifth Division Presiding Judge Rolando Jurado and Associate Justices Alexander Gesmundo and Alex Quiroz, the court restrained Estrada and three other co-respondents in the multi-billion peso pork barrel scam from leaving the country.

Other co-respondents included in the order were alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Napoles, Paulene Therese Labayen, and John Raymund De Asis.

The Fifth Division also issued a separated HDO against Estrada and 13 others for the 11 counts of violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act against the lawmaker. (Sunnex)
