NIGHTLY activities for the City of Naga’s 186th fiesta celebration began last Thursday and will wrap up on Oct. 10.
Last Thursday, the City held an LGU (local government unit) Night, which showcased the talents of City Hall employees.
From Friday until yesterday, the City held an invitational lawn tennis competition at the St. Francis Ocean Park in Barangay East Poblacion.
Garry Cabotaje, City of Naga public information officer, told Sun.Star Cebu that Mayor Valdemar Chiong, a tennis enthusiast, led the tournament and invited tennis players from various parts of the country to join the competition.
As part of the fiesta activities, Sun.Star Publishing Inc.’s Bisdak Magasin also held its “Bangga sa Sayaw” final round at the Enan Chiong Activity Center last Saturday night.
On Oct. 10, the City will hold the “Bancarera sa Naga”, an annual motorized banca race at 1 p.m. On the same day, a fireworks display and a live concert at the Enan Mendiola Chiong Memorial Community Stage will cap the activities.
The City of Naga celebrates its fiesta on Oct. 10 in honor of the city’s patron saint, St. Francis of Assisi.
