CEBU will be a venue for another huge rugby tournament, the International Rugby 10’s at the Cebu International School field.
The rugby tournament, which has grown by leaps and bounds since its inaugural event in 2008, will have two parts this year. First will be the All-Ladies International Rugby 10s on July 12, which is a first in Asia, and the men’s tournament on Nov. 15.
Expected to compete in the tournament are teams from Australia, New Zealand, China, South Korea, Sweden, Thailand, Singapore and Myanmar. Some of the best local teams will also be here aside from the host Cebu Dragons, teams from Manila, Subic and Mindanao.
Around 200 local kids are also seeing action as part of the Cebu Dragons and Philippine Rugby Union development program.
