THE Sikat Pinoy Inalima Trade Fair and Exhibit will be re-staged in the City of Mati in Davao Oriental on June 26-July 1, showcasing various products and services in the province.
Organizers are expecting to generate some P750,000 in sales during the week-long fair, slated at Honey's Hotel.
The event will be spearheaded by the provincial office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), together with the provincial government, local government units in the province, Provincial Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development Council, Task Force Pablo Livelihood Cluster, and partner non-government agencies and financing institutions.
DTI-Davao Oriental trade promotions officer Domingo S. Cruz Jr., who guested in Tuesday's edition of Davao Business Forum at Dermpath at SM City Davao, said they are expecting some 150 local MSMEs, government agencies, and local government units to join the exhibit.
He said the fair will be re-staged this year after they temporarily put it on hold last year after the onslaught of Typhoon Pablo.
Products that will be showcased in the event are handicraft, furniture and furnishing, fresh and processed food, cutflowers and ornamentals, culture and tourism materials, agricultural and industrial products, raw materials and components, and gifts, toys, and housewares.
A business matching will also be held during the fair.
"We will be bringing in buyers from other areas to Mati to match them with suppliers and producers. This will be a whole day affair," Cruz said.
He said most of the buyers are usually interested in buying handicraft products like bayongs ang mats.
Other side events include trade sessions, technology and skills demo, technology fair and inventors exhibit, search for label and product designers, climate change orientation, and tourism and culture photo exhibit.
They will also be launching the Hot Pablo trademark at the opening of the trade fair.
