THE quarterfinals cast of the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inc. first conference inter-company tournament is complete as AACI Trading routed the Huminova Tigers, 102-74 last Wednesday at Tay Ttung High School Po Hang gym.
Meanwhile, JSY Transport and AACI Transport ended their elimination round at 6-2 as both teams got a free victory as the ousted Sweet Crystal decided to forfeit its last two games.
The last playdate tonight will pit AACI Trading and Jast Enterprises, where both teams are at 5-2. The winner in tonight's tussle will join two other teams atop the standing. A goal average will be used to determine the final position of the teams.
The loser in tonight’s encounter will automatically get the fourth seed. JSY Countertrade and Basecom are tied at 4-4 with the former getting the No. 5 spot by virtue of their elimination round victory over Basecom.
Brian Coo was unstoppable in the post with 14 points with Luigi Coo backing him up with three triples for a 30-15 AACI Trading opening quarter lead.
Jeremy Coo and JR Lacson conspired for 17 points to push the lead by halftime to 55-35, even as Huminova’s Roger Montalbo had nine points and Rick de los Santos with six points.
Luigi Coo scored eight points to lead a balance offensive in the third quarter for a commanding 79-51 lead going to the fourth quarter.
The Tigers tried to put up a gallant stand even when they are playing with only five players, but Montalbo fouled out in the third quarter leaving the embattled Tigers to play four against five in majority of the third and fourth quarter.
Brian Coo propelled AACI with 21 points, Luigi Coo added 19 points, Jeremy Coo scored 14 points, Keith Banzon contributed 12 points while Chipeng Uy and Lacson had ten points apiece.
Leonard Kilayko and Glin Ortaliz hit 17 points apiece in a losing effort, Rick de los Santos picked up 16 points, Montalbo made 14 points, and Brian Tan shot 11 points.
