THE first time I saw Kathleen Matillano when she was a teenager, I can already foresee that she will go a long way in the modeling world.
Kathleen was already towering at 5’9” at the time. As we all know, height is a big factor to make you land in the modeling industry.
Two years ago, when I formed MWAH Models Bacolod (which stands for Mark’s Women and Hunks), Kathleen is one of my pioneer elite models.
After five months of MWAH, I helped her join the Supermodel of the World-Philippines 2012. She brought honor for MWAH and for Bacolod when she placed 4th runner-up in the said pageant.
As expected, it was to be her stepping stone to conquer Manila’s glamorous world of modeling.
Kathleen was the model of Joni Maclang who won the Davines World Hairstyle Competition.
She also went to Paris as official model of Joni for the Universal Hairstyle Competition. Joni is the famous hairstylist of Toni and Guy Salon where a haircut costs nearly a thousand pesos.
Kathleen has joined a series of Fashion Week ramps and was dressed up by internationally famous Filipino designers like Francis Libiran and Amir Sali.
She is a model of TRESemmé, along with another pride of Bacolod City—Philippines Next Top Model grand winner Grendel Alvarado.

MWAH: As a model, how do you take care of your body?
KATHLEEN: Diet, sleeping eight hours every day, walking and jogging and staying away from too much sun
What is your most favorite part of your body?
My legs, because they’re long— and this is an asset when you are a model.
What is your diet?
I don’t eat rice. I only eat only bread and fruits.
Any snacks between meals in the morning and afternoon?
Just a little.
Do you take vitamins?
Yes. Kirkland Vitamin C.
How much water do you drink in a day? Sodas?
Eight glasses of water. I rarely drink sodas.
Do you go to the gym?
No.
Do you have a boyfriend?
Yes.
What do you like in him?
His unconditional love.
What do you find attractive in a man?
Being caring, loving and gentle.
What part of male’s body that you find sensual?
Eyes and chest.
What part of the body you want to improve?
Breast, make it bigger.
Do you hang out in bars?
Yes, often.
What is your sleepwear?
Pajamas.
What do you text to your boyfriend before you sleep?
I love you.
When you wake up in the morning, what do you do first?
Pray.
