Police arrest 3 Koreans in Angeles City

CAMP OLIVAS,Pampanga -- Three Koreans were arrested by policemen for rape, acts of lasciviousness and illegal possession of drugs during a rescue operation at Wild Orchids resort in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City, recently.

Senior Superintendent Eden Ugule, Angeles City police director, identified those arrested suspects as Moonhyo Baek, 45, Yun Mook Park, 42, and Byoung Woong, 43, all Korean nationals temporarily billeted at Wild Orchids Resort located along Santos Street, Barangay Balibago.

Ugale said that PO3 Joshua Vistro of the Women's Complaint Police Desk of Angeles City received a telephone call that a group of Koreans took advantage of three girls they invited at the said resort.

The three girls were identified as Michaella Perez, 24, a minor "Anne", 17, both of Dasmarinas, Cavite, and Erika Legaspe, 22, of Tandang Sora, Quezon City. The Koreans met the three girls at Coffee Bean in Ortigas Center, Pasig City where they were invited to attend a dinner party at Clark, Pampanga.

Police said the girls agreed and boarded a gray van but they proceeded to Wild Orchids Resort instead of Clark. Park who stayed at Room 48, took sexual advantage of Perez and offered Dela Cruz shabu.

Confiscated from the room of Park were an aluminum foil, six plastic straws, empty clear small plastic sachet and two disposable lighters.

Angeles City police have filed a rape case against Woong, while cases of illegal possession of drugs and acts of lasciviousness were filed against Park and Baek. (Ric Sapnu)
