CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- A student engaged in buying and selling of used cars was victimized by a prospective buyer in Barangay Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga, Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent Marlon Madrid, officer-in-charge of the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPPO), said that Dan Joseph Navarias, 24, student of Holy Angel University and a resident of Goldenland Subdivision, Barangay Mabiga, was negotiating with two prospective buyers, an unidentified female wearing sando, checkered shorts about 25-years-old and unidentified man wearing a red t-shirt, black shorts and slippers at their shop.
Madrid said the suspects decided to test drive the victim's car, a Honda Civic (WHJ-655) and said that they will see their financer who was paralyzed and could not go with them.
Navarias drove the car but upon reaching Lemens Subdivision along the national highway in Barangay Mabiga, the female buyer told him to pull over to call their financier.
The female suspect boarded the Nissan Urban with conduction sticker LE-7718, which stopped at the back of Honda Civic.
An unidentified man alighted from the Nissan Urban and boarded the back of the car and poked his gun at the victim, the report said.
The suspect then tied both hands of the victim using a nylon cord and covered his eyes with handkerchief. The suspects then dumped Navarias in an isolated place in Barangay Santiago, Concepcion, Tarlac.
The victim later removed the cover on his face and sought the assistance of police in Concepcion.
The Honda Civic is registered to one Kim Matthew Cruz of Poblacion, Arayat, Pampanga. (Ric Sapnu)
