Ang naglanoglanog nga abiba sa mga Pinoy sulod sa SM Mall of Asia sa Manila nakahatag og dugang kadasig sa mga sakop sa Gilas nga mokayod pa og maayo sa miaging FIBA Asia Championships niadtong Agusto sa miaging tuig.
Nakatabang kini og dako aron maangkon sa Gilas ang silver medal sa FIBA Asia nga nagpa-qualify og balik sa Pilipinas alang sa FIBA World Cup human sa dugay nang panahon.

“There were a couple of games that we shouldn’t have won, but (with) the crowd, the adrenaline kicked in and allowed us to find a way to win.”

“I’m not gonna be surprised if we’re the most well-attended team, with the most fans in Spain, just from the number of people who are going, and the number of kababayans who are in Spain, in Barcelona and elsewhere,” pasabot ni Reyes.
Sa FIBA World Cup, ang Gilas nalakip sa Bracket B kauban ang Croatia, Greece, Puerto Rico, Senegal ug Argentina, diin sakop si Manu Ginobili, pambato sa National Basketball Association (NBA) champions San Antonio Spurs.
