Duterte: Partner of King gunman being harassed

DAVAO City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte gave a stern warning against individuals who are said to be harassing the families of the suspects-turned-witnesses in the Richard King murder case.

The live-in partner of accused gunman Paul Dave Molina Labang reportedly sought the help of the Toril Police after two armed men went to their residence in Toril offering financial support to the family.

Duterte said he will not hesitate to arrest anyone who would try to meddle with the King murder case no matter whose side they're on or what positions they have.

The mayor called on all those who are involved in the case to face the music and let the wheel of justice grind.

Police Superintendent Leonardo Felonia is accused by Labang as the man who ordered the hit on businessman Richard King last June 12. Two other accused, confessed lookout Rommel dela Cerna and getaway motorcycle driver Rodel dela Cerna also pointed at Felonia.

Felonia, however, dismissed the accusations against him and hinted that somebody is out to implicate him on the King murder case due to insecurity and jealousy.

Lawyer Behn Joseph Tesiorna, lawyer of the three accused, said they will file a request for the three accused, Labang and dela Cerna brothers, to be placed under the witness protection program of the Department of Justice.
