BACOLOD City Mayor Monico Puentevella will deliver his State of the City Address (Soca) dubbed “Ulat ni Monico” on his birthday on July 2, at the grand lobby of the Bacolod Government Center.
Puentevella said that he will not call his 365 days in office report “Soca” because it does not sound well in its verbal meaning in the dialect.
Expected to attend are officials and representatives from the business, academe, military, and police as well as the 61 villages chiefs, among others.
The City Council will hold its regular session at the lobby as well.
The mayor said he will report what his administration accomplished in his 365 days in office, and on his plans in the next two years.
“I will talk about education, infrastructure, traffic, waste management, the same priorities I promised when I campaigned for mayor,” he said. “We have to review what the military and police have done, what the transportation group has done.”
He will also include the computerization of City Hall, speedy disposition of business permits, and building of additional classrooms.
“My speech will be delivered in less than an hour. We will have a get- together there,” the mayor said.
