BATANGAS Governor Vilma Santos said she welcomes constructive criticisms from netizens over her spelling mistakes in the note she earlier sent to TV host-actress Kris Aquino.

Earlier this week, Aquino posted a photo on her personal Instagram account of a gift and note from the actress-turned-politician.

"Dearest Kris, thank you sooo much for believing in me! I truely appreciate it friend. Life is short... Enjoy it. You are so bless... God is good! Smile! I love you, Ate Vi [sic]," the note read.

The said post generated hundreds of comments after netizens pointed out that Santos' spelling errors: "truely" instead of "truly" and "bless" instead of "blessed".

In a separate post, the television host uploaded a personal text from Santos after the governor's letter became a viral topic online.

The governor said that she still has a lot to learn. Santos also takes the bashing as constructive criticism.

"Hi Kris, I am being bashed because of your Instagram post. Hahaha. I guess marami pa akong dapat matutunan. I take all of these as constructive criticisms. Tao lang; nagkakamali. Sa mga bashers, salamat po. Again, thanks for believing in me. Until next time."

Aquino, on her part, said she admires Santos' bravery and wisdom to still put positive words even being bashed on the internet.

"It made me realize why I am such a fan of this woman: she is BRAVE, she has a WONDERFUL SENSE OF HUMOR, she has WISDOM, and she is TRUTHFUL!" she said.

"Above everything else, she remains HUMBLE! Hindi siya piko kasi nga alam nya that her life is good. Her example will continue to inspire me for the rest of my life," she added.

Aquino is a close friend of Santos. The TV host was also tapped by the politician's eldest son, Luis Manzano, to be a ninang to his wedding with girlfriend Angel Locsin. Kris and Luis are also business partners. (Sunnex)
