A CLASSY lady and one of the most beautiful models I have in MWAH (Mark’s Women and Hunks) Models Bacolod is Franchette Anne Gelasque Laguda.
Franchette celebrated her 23rd birthday last June 20 (but she was born on June 21) at Mo2 Wave Lounge of Westown Hotel.
Inheriting beautiful genes from her mother who was also a beauty titlist and has worked as front desk clerk at the posh Shangri-La Hotel in Manila, Franchette was born to be a beauty queen.
At age nine, she won the title Little Miss Millennium Queen of Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod. She got a prize of full scholarship the following school year which made her parents proud and happy.
For her secondary education, she studied at St. Scholastica’s Academy. She also won in the school pageants and she represented Bacolod City in the regional search of Miss Teen Philippines.
But After Miss Teen Philippines, she stopped joining pageants because she wanted to concentrate with her studies.
She only later joined Miss La Consolacion College (LCC)-Bacolod and won second runner-up. She finished college in LCC where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management.
Franchette is an independent lady, growing up away from her parents when she was younger, because her father worked as marine engineer abroad and her mother worked at Shangri-la Hotel.
But towards her teen years, her mother went home to Bacolod. Franchette and her mother look like sisters, almost having the same pretty face and they are close to each other.
After college, Franchette joined the Pasalamat Queen pageant of La Carlota where she won first runner-up.
Last year I assisted her when she joined Bacolod's MassKara Queen where she won second runner-up. We still have plans for Franchette to join big pageants in the future.
Her birthday celebration had been so much fun with her family, fellow MWAH models, and friends.
Along with Jay Amarante of Icon Photography, we greeted Franchette who was stunning in her black and light pink casual outfit.
We enjoyed the foods especially the giant pizza and finger foods. Not to be outdone were the overflowing cocktail and hard drinks.
I could see in Franchette's face how happy she was in celebrating her birthday. But I think she could have been happier had her suitor was there, who is a former Azkal football player but is out of the country.
