Robles takes helm as new QI Pampanga prexy

THE 20th Induction of Officers and Members of Quota International (QI) of Pampanga at the Oasis Hotel one recent Friday night saw to the club’s turnover of leadership to the charming and amiable Atty. Joycel G. Robles-Panlilio, who took the presidency from immediate past president Germie Villanueva who ended her term this July.

The event was attended by various QI officers from Manila, Quota International of Angeles and District 18 Regional Director Bernadette Galang and the night's inspirational speaker Maricel Morales who was the evening’s guest of honor and speaker.

The program was even more stunning with the presence of Pampanga's crème de la crème women of fine pedigree as they strutted in their black dresses and stilettos.

District 18 Regional Director Bernadette Galang, who graciously led the Quota Pampanga members and new officers through a set of feminine rites, also urged new QI members to aspire to contribute more to the organization.

Quotarians are known especially for their service to disadvantaged women and children and deaf, hard-of-hearing, and speech-impaired people. Serving and encouraging others, developing friendships, and promoting international understanding are values shared by all Quota members, according to Galang.

Robles said her administration will focus on more development programs for the organization, improved membership and a host of meaningful and sincere socio-civic programs for women and children beneficiaries.

Robles said her term will also be focused on continuing the achievements and ongoing programs of Quota Pampanga and in focusing more on opening networks with similar cause-oriented groups.

She said her term will be marked by a renewed effort to increase the socio-civic programs of Quota Pampanga and to uphold the institutional achievements of her predecessor.

Robles also hailed the term of past president Germie Villanueva, who for her part said she was able to accomplish another club year and added that QI Pampanga is now ready to achieve even more through newly minted president Robles.

Joining the roaster of officers this year are vice president Myrna Canlas, secretary Alma Aquino-de Leon, recording secretary Ma. Elena Cecilia Manabat, treasurer Lalaine Baluyut, and PRO Lina Velez.
