THE eco-park development in Kabuyao, Sto. Tomas will continue when all issues are settled.
Baguio City Representative Nicasio Aliping Jr. recently told media, the land development project in his property will resume after all issues are cleared and all requirements are complied.
"Kailangan naman ituloy natin kasi may plano tayo diyan," he said adding the area has to be developed for its intended purpose once concerned agencies give the necessary permits.
Aliping believes a person with a legitimate purpose on a particular undertaking will always pursue it.
He also emphasized it is the right of every person to develop or to improve a certain claim.
He said he is entitled to resume the land development in the area but of course "with compliance to the existing rules and regulations imposed by the government."
It was earlier clarified by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environment Management Bureau after all cases against the solon are resolved, the solon may apply for an Environmental Compliance Certificate should he decide to continue with his eco-park project.
However, the application will not guarantee him an ECC immediately.
Instead, it will still have to undergo a process.
On this regard, Aliping said he will apply and try to secure all the necessary requirements.
"It's up to the office to evaluate our application for ECC," he said.
Meanwhile, Aliping is expected to submit a position paper due in August aside from the monetary penalty at P50,000 as required by the EMB for violation of the Presidential Decree 1586 or for not securing an ECC before undertaking any earth moving activities in his property in Kabuyao.
