Capitol receives P2-M livelihood fund

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Governor Lilia Pineda received on Wednesday a P2-million check from the Department of Labor and Employment Region III (Dole-3) headed by Regional Director Ana Dione, as livelihood assistance for the Capability Building For the Livelihood Enhancement of Nego-Trailer project in the province under the Dole Kabuhayan Program (DKP).

“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa ating regional director dun sa pagbibigay niya ng pondo dito sa Kapitolyo. Si director po ng DOLE kapag nagbibigay po ng livelihood, walang interes, at saka hindi na po binabalik ng mga binibigyan natin ng livelihood, kaya po siguradong-sigurado sila na makakatulong dun sa bibigyan nila ng puhunan,” Pineda said.

Ten associations will benefit from the said project.

These include Dolorosa Women’s Organization; My League of OFW’s in Lubao (MYLOL); Misanmetung Pamilyang OFW ning Balen Mexico, OFW Family Circle, Sta. Lucia, Magalang; San Simon Aguman Lingap Pamilyang OFW; Ritanians OFW Families for Progressive Pampanga; OFW Family Empowering Group, Sta. Ana, Pampanga; Sucad Women’s Association; Mamatitang Women’s League, Mabalacat City, Pampanga; and Damayan ng mga Mararangal na Kababaihan ng Barangay, Juliana, City of San Fernando.

The said project was also made possible through the efforts of the Public Employment Service Office headed by Provincial PESO Manager Luningning Vergara and the provincial government.

The total cost of the project is P2,502,000 where 20 percent will come from the funds of the provincial government. (Maribel U. Singca/Pampanga PIO)
